Early projects consisted of residential construction, leading to large estate houses that formed the foundation for the company’s reputation for quality, especially in the areas of interior finish carpentry, stone and masonry work.

During the 1960s, the company began to focus on industrial work, and not long after, institutional buildings beginning with the construction of churches, schools and related structures.

During the following decades, THP concentrated on institutional, commercial, and industrial construction. Over a period of many years, the company developed a specific expertise in interior renovations, reconstruction and restoration. THP has focused on corporate and institutional owners in education,health care, office interiors, defense, high tech, food and chemical industries. THP has remained in the Connecticut market with specific projects in Westchester County, New York.

Amajority of THP construction management and general construction work is bid onselected list basis based on experience, reputation, and follow-on work. Awards are often negotiated and many projects represent long-term owner relationships.

THP has awell-established reputation for quality, a high level of integrity, and excellent owner and architect/engineer relations. A cooperative attitude and commitment is maintained at all levels of project management and field supervision.

All projects are managed by experienced construction professionals operating through well-defined areas of responsibility and lines of authority. Owners and architects have ready access to management and jobsite decision makers.

THP maintains a reputation for fair dealing and timely payment with subcontractors. Good market relations are essential for accurate pricing and attracting the best subcontractors, supervision and tradesmen.

Procedures for responsive and timely flow of information and communication between all parties to the construction process have been carefully developed. THP is recognized as a competent, thorough and efficient project administrator. Management and administration of jobsite meetings and control and tracking changes has brought THP special recognition.

THP employs its own skilled, full-time labor in the area of field supervision, foremen, carpenters, masons and laborers. The company owns, maintains and operates a complete equipment spread for trucking, excavation, and hoisting, as well as all types of construction support tools and equipment.

THP maintains complete broad form insurance coverage. The company is insured by Travelers and bonded by Travelers. State of Connecticut License No. MCO 00901081.
